Glenn Bonner, Bartlesville, OK

"I went to the Emergency Room of Jane Phillips Hospital around 3:30 p.m. experiencing some chest pains. By 4:30 p.m. I was in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Jane Phillips Hospital and the wonderful people from Bluestem Cardiology, Dr. Pat Tinker and his assistants, were opening the blockage in my heart and were inserting a stent to keep my artery open. They explained clearly to me what had occurred in my heart and what they were doing to correct my problem. They were very calm and confident doing the entire procedure, which kept my anxiety under control. I feel very blessed to have received excellent care from some very competent and caring people."

"I have been going to Cardiac Rehab in the Wellness Center at Jane Phillips for the past two weeks and the Rehab staff of Dee, Cindy, and Teresa, have been great. They have outlined a great recovery program for me and have been caring and supportive."

"When my personal family physician suspected my cardiovascular disease, he immediately referred me to Dr. Tinker. Within a few hours, that very same day, Dr. Tinker determined the extent of my condition and the necessary course of action. After coronary bypass surgery, I completed cardiac rehab through Jane Phillips Wellness Center and I have continued under Dr. Tinker’s care and that of his excellent staff at Bluestem Cardiology for many years since."

"As I have told many people, we are very fortunate to have one of the best cardiac care facilities in Oklahoma right here in Bartlesville with Bluestem Cardiology. "

Carrie Standridge, Bartlesville, OK
" At 36 years of age and after two years of seeing numerous doctors, I was referred to BlueStem Cardiology. When I came to them I had suffered numerous muscle strains, broken blood vessels in my hands and feet, severe tiredness, vitamin deficiencies, and multiple stroke-like episodes. Previously, these symptoms had been attributed to migraines, rheumatoid arthritis and anemia."

"Within hours of consulting Dr. Tinker, he was able to diagnose my condition as Infective Endocarditis with a prolapsed mitral valve that had been severely damage by the infection. I was hospitalized the same day and began I.V. antibiotics to treat the infection. During my hospital stay, I met with Dr. Mehrle and Dr. Dykstra who were very informative about my current condition, and my future treatment, while remaining sensitive to the fact that my young children were in the room with me."

"On release from the hospital I met with Dr. Dykstra and we discussed the procedure for replacing the damaged valve and the valve options.   He told me that I had my choice of going anywhere in the world to have this procedure done and he would make sure I got there. I chose St. John’s Medical Center in Tulsa after being referred by BlueStem Cardiology. My valve was replaced with a St. Jude’s mechanical valve in February of 2009. The operation was a complete success and thanks to everyone at BSC, I am beating one click at a time!"
