SPECT (Myoview Perfusion Scan)

A SPECT test is a radionuclear scan that looks to see if the coronary arteries are getting enough blood. This test is given to assess the heart at rest and stress.  Pictures are taken at each of these intervals and a comparison is made. The test takes 2-3 hours and the patient must have an IV inserted to inject medications for the exam. The test is read by our cardiologist.
