The BlueStem Cardiology Research team believes research changes lives. We are dedicated to finding ways to prevent, treat and cure heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases. We realize that this depends on medical research. Our team is committed to maintaining research programs of the highest quality. Patient safety is always our number one priority.

Our research team consists of our four cardiologists: Dr. Tinker, Dr. DeFehr, Dr. Dykstra and Dr. Mehrle, who are our Principal Investigators for the study trials in which we choose to participate. They are also backed by BlueStem’s five mid-level practitioners as Sub-Investigators: Mollie Bechtelheimer APRN, Sandra Gonzalez PA-C, Angela Finney APRN. Our study trials are managed by our three highly trained and experienced study coordinators:

 

Jenny Doggett LPN CRC and Julie Wall MA CRC.

 

Together this team brings over 30 years of cardiac education and experience to our research program, as well as more than 15 years of training and experience in the field of cardiac research.
