A veteran physician’s assistant, Sandra Gonzalez joined BlueStem Cardiology in 2000. Gonzalez has 13 years of cardiology experience behind her and 19 years practicing medicine, including experience in orthopedic surgery, neonatal intensive care and psychiatry.
Gonzalez graduated magna cum laude from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas and is NCCPA certified. She is also a member of OKAPA, KAPA and AAPA. Always active in furthering the field of medicine, Gonzalez has been involved in numerous research studies at BlueStem, including acting as a sub investigator on several projects related to lipid management, anticoagulation, arrythimia therapy and blood pressure management.
Gonzalez is a mother of four and grandmother of eight, and enjoys dancing and scuba diving in her spare time.
