Dr. Gary T. Dykstra joined BlueStem Cardiology in 1992 with an already impressive catalog of professional experience. After completing his medical education at the University of Oklahoma in 1981, Dr. Dykstra completed his internship at Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital and his residency at the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. The Oklahoma native logged professional practice at Womack Army Community Hospital in North Carolina, Landstuhl Army Regional Medical Center in West Germany and again at Brooke Army before finding his permanent home at BlueStem.

 

In addition to his cardiology practice, Dr. Dykstra has also dedicated time to remaining active in the field as a member of the American College of Cardiology and the Washington County Medical Society. He also spent time as a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio.
