Automatic Implantable Cardiac Defibrillator Insertion
An implantable cardiac defibrillator that is inserted under the chest wall by the cardiologist in the cath lab. This procedure is used to treat life threatening heart rhythms. It requires scheduling at the hospital and has a preparation. Patients are seen back in the office for a wound check one week after the procedure, then in one month before being scheduled every six months for a pacemaker check.
