Implantable 30 Day Event Monitor
A battery powered recorder that is implanted under the skin, and records a continuous EKG rhythm. This test is used to diagnose infrequent but serious rhythm abnormalities. It requires outpatient procedure in the cath lab and is implanted by the cardiologist. The procedure is scheduled through the hospital and requires an overnight fast.
